De Tafelberg is a new housing facility for 290 youth households. Operation started in the fall of 2024 by housing corporation the Alliance. The facility offers more than just housing. Tafelberg is located at Tafelbergweg 8 in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost, on the edge of Amstel III. In addition to residential facilities, Tafelberg houses approximately 2,000 m2 of non-residential functions as a Learn, Work and Play incubator in the former “old building” of the Koppeling, a JeugdzorgPlus location. It is now a place to live, learn, work and relax. The residential part of De Tafelberg consists of 100% social housing. The independent compact homes are rented for a favorable price, under the condition that residents also have a task within the community.
Partners of EarthY and co-initiators are Levvel Youth Care and social innovation platform Garage 2020. Levvel Youth Care and Alliance aims to reflect the society that EarthY intrinsically strives for: an inclusive, pluralistic but resilient community where everyone participates and counts, and where people live together shoulder to shoulder.
